Frequently Asked Questions

I'm already seeing another physical therapist, why would I come see you?

The truth is that most physical therapy clinics only provide about 25% of what we do at RO Physio. That is you are most likely only seeing your PT for 15 minutes out of a one hour session. In addition to what a “typical” PT may do, we offer many other services like soft tissue mobilization, exercise programming, electric dry needling and spinal manipulation. Most importantly, any treatment plan given is custom tailored to your specific needs. One size never fits all.

I don't like to have my “back cracked”, do I have to?

No. In fact, we only perform spinal manipulation when it is absolutely necessary. The truth is that we have many other techniques and protocols that we can use to get the results that you need!

I'm going to a Chiropractor, why would I come see you?

Traditional Chiropractic clinics focus on the adjust and usually are lacking on the exercises you need to get you strong and avoid injury. The difference is the time and personal attention you get at RO Physio. Your entire visit is spent 1 on 1 with the doctor. We never pass you to an aide or an assistant.

I already have exercises from my current PT, why would I need your exercises?

The truth is that most exercises given in Physical Therapy are “cookie cutter.” In other words, every person that walks in with back pain gets the same set of exercises, no matter what. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. That is never the case here at RO Physio.

What type of patients do you work with?

  • Active adults 30-64 who have been injured while exercising and are looking to get back to exercise without limitations.

  • Adults 30-64 who would like to be active but get hurt every time they try to exercise.

  • Weekend Warriors who love to play sports but work long stressful hours, making it difficult to get the proper medical care they need.

  • Serious youth and college athletes who have been injured playing their sport.

  • People who take their health very seriously and can't imagine that taking a pill for every ache and pain is a good idea.

  • Individuals who believe that exercise, nutrition, and hard work are the keys to good health NOT medication or an injection.

How likely is it that you will be able to help me?

If you have experienced pain in the low back, hips, knees, neck, shoulders, ankle or foot; then there is a great chance that we can help. If we cannot help we will always point you in the right direction of someone who can.

Can I talk to you before I come to the office?

Please, I am always happy to help. You can call/text 973-632-4816 or email me directly at dr.jay@rophysio.com
